You Are The Go To Person

With the world in chaos, and society in an array of confusion about the pandemic and a plethora of societal crisis. You can feel free to temporarily throw in the towel and take a break for a moment of solitude. Imagine how it feels to have no worries and all your problems are gone away. This will give you a sense of breakthrough and emotional freedom.

People Depend On You Too Much

But you may not be able to help everybody. There are other people who need a chance to play their part as well. The person you owe is the person in the mirror and all the people you are called to serve. Sometimes, it seems like everyone is pulling you every which way except the way you can go in and don’t see other people can help them, like for instance the person in the mirror. You are only one person and can only afford to help one person at a time.

The road is narrow but it leads to life.

Give yourself permission to the power of delegation in life, at work, at home and in places you are in demand to take the lead. You are only one person, and one person can’t do it all. Someone else can help you to.

Quote: It’s alright for some people to depend on you but don’t take advantage of your wisdom and kindness.

You deserve to have a rest from over-thinking and trying to figure out  how to fix all the things around you. Your boss and family understand how hard you work to meet demands and exceed requirements. After you take an emotional break, gradually, put your seat belt back on, get into the driver’s seat and start again.

Quote: Don’t overwork your “(go-to-person)” today that you might need again on tomorrow.

Remember yourself sometimes.

Ask Yourself This Question: Am I adding value to my life and how does this affect my health.

Wisdom Tips

1.Close all doors in your life that destroy your health.

2. Close all doors that rob you from your peace.

3. Close all doors from people who love to see you fret. Because you don’t always have to be the “(Go-To-Person)!

The Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11:

For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”

Examples of Open Portals:

  • Not knowing when enough is enough.
  • Not knowing when to rest alone and enjoy your own company.
  • Don’t reject yourself so others can take advantage of you.
  • Doing things for people that they should do for themselves.
  • If you need to be needed, do it at your pace and on your watch
  • If you are a person that goes the extra mile pick a day but don’t make it a lifetime thing for that person it may cripple them

Ask God What Makes You The Go-To-Person

  1. Now wait for God to tell you how to manage this position.
  2. Ask God how can you live your best life while holding this position.
  3. Ask God how can you keep good health and your sanity while being this person.
  4. Make sure you have boundaries and others don’t walk cross your boundaries.

Quote: Know when to make things private and keep people out of your very personal affairs you and God should only know about.

Sometimes you need to get away and be alone so you can clear your conscious, convictions and free your soul from everything and everyone.

Is it okay to be alone for a moment and not have to be the boss or go-to-person.

If the enemy is not attacking you, he might be attacking people around you. This is why being overly available to people will drain you emotionally and spiritually and cause you to shut down emotionally to yourself and spiritually to God. When God is making signals or saying to you take a break and spend time with me so I can restore you. Or maybe God wants to give you wise instructions on how to handle your affairs and help others deceitfully and in order within God’s timing “(I Corinthians 14:40)”. By the time you help them you will have enough spiritual energy in your spiritual battery to do a task without feeling emotionally depleted, so you are emotionally prepared to help someone else. I’m sure you love helping others and have the skillsets to do a great job. But God knows what’s best for His children.

Heads Up:

Quote: Don’t miss out on what God is doing for you in this season by being involved too much in everyone else’s life. Sometimes saving others means losing yourself.

Philippians 2:12-13 Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, so now, not only as in my presence but much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, for it is God who works in you, both to will and to work for his good pleasure.

Quote: No one may not remember what you did for them, but they will remember how you made them feel.

Prayer: Thank you lord for helping me be led by your holy spirit and not be drawn by people who drain my emotional energy and prevent me from resting and having wise judgment about my affairs regarding be a go to person. Bless me like the scriptures say; to be wise as a serpent but harmless as a dove (Matthew 10:16). Keep me every day and help me follow your holy lead so that I am led by the holy spirit and not by my emotions when they cause me to make unhealthy decisions.
